With over 25 years of experience in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology, Dr. Prieto Deza currently serves as Head of Orthopedic Surgery at the General Hospital of Menorca, Spain, and leads the Orthopaedic Surgery Department at Juaneda Healthcare Network.

He obtained his medical licensure from Santiago de Compostela University and completed his specialization at “Juan Canalejo” Hospital Complex, La Coruña. His expertise includes knee, shoulder, and ankle surgeries, with advanced training in sports medicine and shoulder surgery in the USA and Europe. Dr. Prieto Deza is actively involved in teaching and has held instructional roles for the Spanish Arthroscopy Association (AEA).

He has contributed significantly to the field through his extensive professional memberships, including being President of ABCOT (Balearic Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology) from 2024 to 2026. Dr. Prieto Deza was also President of AEA from 2022 to 2024, where he directed educational programs and promoted advancements in arthroscopic surgery. His dedication to advancing orthopedic care is underscored by his participation in international conferences and courses, fostering knowledge exchange and innovation in the field.
